Most businesses update social media occasionally but leave their Google Business Profile untouched for months.
That matters because people visiting your profile may already be searching for a business like yours. A useful update can show them what you offer and give them a clear next step.
Now Google lets eligible businesses schedule posts to repeat automatically. Set up one useful recurring post today, and Google can publish it weekly, monthly, or on a custom schedule.

🔬 TODAY'S FIELD TEST
Choose one message that is true every week.
Good possibilities include:
a weekly service reminder
a recurring appointment opportunity
a regularly offered consultation
a genuine weekly special
a reminder about estimates or quotes
a repeated class, event, or customer-help session
a useful tip connected to a service you provide
Do not begin with a complicated campaign. Choose one message that can be understood in a few seconds and leads to one action.
Before opening Google, complete this sentence:
Every [day, week, or month], we help [specific customer] with [specific problem or service]. The next step is to [call, book, order, visit, or learn more].
That sentence is the foundation of your recurring post.

📡 SIGNAL CHECK
GOOGLE POSTS CAN NOW REPEAT
Google's current Business Profile instructions say businesses can schedule posts and select a repeating frequency, including weekly, monthly, or a custom schedule.
Google currently provides three main post types:
Updates for business information, services, photographs, videos, and links
Offers for promotions with titles, dates, terms, coupon codes, and links
Events for scheduled activities with dates and times
For most recurring service messages, begin with an Update. Use an Offer only when the price, discount, dates, and terms are real. Use an Event when the activity actually occurs on the dates shown.
The ability to repeat a post does not mean every post should repeat. Automation is valuable when the information stays useful and accurate.
Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
🧪 THE EXPERIMENT:
BUILD IT IN TEN MINUTES
MINUTES 0–2: CHOOSE THE RIGHT MESSAGE
Ask three questions:
Will this message still be true next week?
Does it help a customer understand a real service, offer, or next step?
Can someone act on it immediately?
If the answer to all three is yes, the post is a good candidate.
Avoid automatically repeating:
an expired discount
a seasonal message after the season ends
limited inventory that may sell out
an appointment count that changes daily
an employee announcement
a one-time project
a deadline that will pass
Automation should reduce work—not distribute incorrect information.
MINUTES 2–5: WRITE THE POST
Use this simple structure:
[Name the customer or problem.]
[Explain the service or useful information in one or two sentences.]
[Give one specific next step.]
Keep the message focused. Do not list every service your business provides.
MINUTES 5–7: ADD A REAL PHOTOGRAPH
Use a photograph that helps customers understand the business:
the team
the storefront or office
a completed project
equipment used during the service
a product available for purchase
an appropriate behind-the-scenes moment
Avoid using the same generic stock photograph every week. If the post will repeat for several months, choose an image that will not become misleading or obviously outdated.
MINUTES 7–10: SCHEDULE THE REPEAT
Go to your Google Business Profile and select Posts, followed by Add post.
Choose the appropriate post type, add the message and image, and select the available action button. If you want the post to publish later, turn on scheduling. Use the Repeats option to choose weekly, monthly, or a custom schedule.
Before publishing, open the destination link on your phone. Confirm that it loads correctly and leads directly to the service, booking form, order page, or information promised in the post.
THREE POSTS YOU CAN ADAPT TODAY
TEMPLATE 1: WEEKLY SERVICE REMINDER
Need help with [specific problem]?
We help [type of customer] with [specific service] in [service area]. Our process begins with [brief first step] so you understand what happens next.
[Book an appointment, request an estimate, call, or learn more.]
TEMPLATE 2: RECURRING APPOINTMENT OPPORTUNITY
Planning to [customer goal]?
We offer [consultations, estimates, assessments, or appointments] for [specific service]. We will help you understand [what the customer will learn or receive].
Use the button below to request a time.
Do not include a fixed number of openings unless you plan to update the post whenever availability changes.
TEMPLATE 3: WEEKLY CUSTOMER TIP
This week's quick tip for [type of customer]:
Before you [common action], check [one useful detail]. This can help you [realistic benefit].
If you need help with [related service], [one clear next step].
If you repeat a weekly tip, change the actual tip regularly. The recurring schedule should remind you to provide value, not publish the identical advice forever.
A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: THE ACCOUNTANT
An accountant who works with construction businesses might create this recurring Update:
Do you know which completed jobs actually made money?
Accurate job costing starts with assigning labor, materials, subcontractor payments, and other expenses to the correct project. We help construction businesses clean up their bookkeeping and get a clearer picture of job profitability.
Request a bookkeeping cleanup review.
The post can link directly to the bookkeeping-cleanup page or appointment form. It should not link to a general homepage that forces the visitor to search for the promised service.
SET A MONTHLY AUTOMATION CHECK
A repeating post still needs human supervision.
Once a month, verify:
the offer is still available
the wording remains accurate
the image is still appropriate
the link works
the destination page matches the post
the action button is correct
the post has not become stale or repetitive
Replace weak posts instead of repeating them simply because the schedule exists.
WHAT TO MEASURE
Give the post one job and measure that action:
booking-page visits
estimate requests
calls
orders
direction requests
website visits to the linked service
If the post gets views but no action, test a more specific problem, a more relevant photograph, or a clearer button. Do not assume that publishing more frequently will fix a vague message.
🎯 BEFORE YOU CLOSE THIS EMAIL
Choose one message that will remain true. Create the post, add one relevant image, link directly to the promised next step, and turn on the repeating schedule.
Then reply and tell me what you need help with. Would you like ideas for a recurring Update, Offer, Event, photograph, or call to action for your business?
Your answer may become the next Visibility Science field test.
Bottom line: One accurate recurring Google post can keep a useful message visible without requiring you to rebuild it every week.
❓ WHAT DO YOU NEED HELP WITH?
We want Visibility Science to help with the marketing problems you are actually facing—not the ones marketers assume you have.
